The Three Rivers Arts Festival had a sensory friendly break area staffed, in part, by Executive Director Cori Frazer. Image 1 description: Cori, a light skinned person with glasses and face pink from the heat, wears a purple volunteer shirt and holds their book Loud Hands: Autistic People, Speaking. Image 2 Description: A blue sign with wave patterns. In the left hand corner there is the logo for the Three Rivers Arts Festival and the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust followed by text: "Sensory Friendly Break Area. This area features bean bags, soft floor mats and trained volunteers for anyone who needs to take a break from the Festival. Our goal is to create an environment in which people with autism or sensory needs, along with their families, can enjoy the Festival and feel comfortable-- supported and free to be themselves. Supported by Autism Connection." There are artistic motifs of bridges as borders on the sign.
